W O N D E R 

Two weeks ago I had the chance to head back home to Texas as my big sister was giving birth to the first baby in the family.  There is so much joy and celebraton surrounding baby Charlee's birth.  Looking at this new precious life, I was instantly in awe of her presence. You can see source, spirit, wonder in her eyes.  

As bills pile up,  as we all sit in traffic day after day, or perhaps loved ones fall ill,  it is understandable that we can forget about the wonder.  But it is always there inside of us waiting patiently for our attention.  It is there in everything- in the very fabric holding together this inexplicable mysterious universe.  

The wonder is all around us, in the sway of the leaves of a tree, a friend's laugh, in the stillness of the nighttime sky, or the steam rising out of a cup of tea.  This complex overwhelming grandeur of existence and unopologetic magic of life is here before us. Now.  

There is time to truly see today with vision with wisdom and feel the inexplicable wonder of being alive.  There is time to acknowledge -for one tiny moment- the sheer unlikeliness of it all and marvel at how in all of creation, there is but one of you.  

In this digital age of tweets and instant everything, for a just a moment, -just one single moment- perhaps choose to see the wonder.  It can be in anything:  a candle flame, the grocery store clerk, the beauty of a loved one.   Choose wonder just once today. I wonder what would happen.

It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly

to keep the channel open.

You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work.

You have to keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate YOU.

No artist is pleased...

There is no satisfaction whatever at anytime

There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction

a blessed unrest that keeps us marching

and makes "us" MORE alive than the others.
